Dan Blankenship
Board President

Dan became involved in The Center in 2006 working with Volunteers. He was elected Board President in April 2007. He and his partner David have two daughters and live in NKC.

Nettie Alford
Interim-Vice President

 Nettie joined the Board in April 2007 and writes the LGCCKC newsletter, edits the website and recently agreed to serve as interim vice president thru April 2009. She is an avid supporter and active volunteer with a variety of LGBT organizations.  Nettie graduated with an Advertising degree from the University of Kansas in 1991 and thru Lucky Girl Productions does pro-bono PR for non-profit organizations and helps organize and promote events. She also works full time as an account manager with Argus Health Systems.

Mitch Levine

Mitch has been involved with the Center in a variety of capacities since 2004.  Mitch operates Levine Marketing and Management, a marketing and communications company that specializes in conferences and trade shows.  He contributes his time to many community LGBT organizations, including KC Pride and HRC.  Mitch chaired the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's Creating Change Conference in Kansas City in 2006.  He has also served as Editor of Verge Magazine.  "The Center is a vital part of our community and I welcome conversations at any time on ways to make it stronger and more productive for our members."

Leo S. Walters
Board MemberLeo is long-time supporter of the LGBT community and as a board member he has been involved in updating the website and supporting events. He is also an organizer of the local chapter of Out and Equal, which is geared to assisting LGBT employees work with their employers to create Employee Resource Groups.

Trish Kuhnhoff
Treasurer

Trish joined the Board in November 2007, she has been instrumental in coordinating Out In Westport 13 and 14. In May 2008 she assumed the role of Treasurer with full Board approval.

Chuck Brackett
Board of DirectorsChuck Brackett has been organizing events for The Center for over a year now. He graciously stepped in to pick up the pieces of OIW 2007 when the coordinator had to drop out just weeks before the event. We were proud to have Chuck join the Board in October 2008.

Kurt Krieger
SecretaryRev. Kurt Krieger from the Spirit of Hope MCC is a welcome addition to the Board of Directors. He graciously agreed to join us October 2008 and will serve out the term of the open Secretary position.
